First a note of thanks.-Mary darling, thank you for hours of inspiration. Your creations were my thought launching pad for many parties and
also helped me to create my own crowns, just because.- My first encounter with this artist's delectably lavish crowns was in an ad for Vera Wang Princess Perfume. The lovely Camilla Bell wore the signature Lavender Label dresses and hung from trees with chandeliers and shirtless boys. The scene stealers though were these terrific crowns that were so intricately made that they looked fit for a fairyland. For months, and yes I mean months, I was captivated by this ad. I loved going to the website and looking at other photos from the shoot; I even bought the perfume to applaud their marketing strategy. I finally discovered the creator of the crowns a few months later and her name is Mary Buck. I looked at the pictures in her gallery a million times and decided I would attempt my own version of royalty. Let me tell you, it was not easy. Many an hour I spent on this one metalwork headpiece I nearly drove myself mad.
It took quite a long time to make, but the result was ravishing! This project helped me realize art is not confined to a paint and canvas, but can be worn and enjoyed!
